Born on November 14th, 1949, to the Late Kedar Nath Poddar, Shri Mahesh Poddar’s journey began in the small town of Gumla, Jharkhand. These humble roots instilled in him a deep-seated commitment to the development of his home state—a mission he continues to pursue with vigor today.
A Mechanical Engineer by education, he transformed his expertise into a thriving industrial legacy, establishing high-tensile steel wire manufacturing units across four states.
Shri Poddar’s work extends far beyond industry. From spearheading the restoration of the ancient Tanginath Shiva Temple to his foundational work with the Seva Bharti and Ekal Vidhyalaya, he has remained a tireless advocate for tribal welfare and rural empowerment in Jharkhand.
